The Bell Rings

It is a new year, and here at St. Patrick Church, we are ringing it in with our new blog, The Church Bell

Sometime in the fifth century, long before radio, television, or the internet, clergymen had to figure out another way to call the faithful to prayer and worship. A bell was a sensible solution as it could be heard from long distances, throughout villages or towns. Churches began to make use of this practical technology and consequently, the church bell was born.

No matter where you are in our growing community of Kerman, you can likely hear the bell at St Patrick Church chiming the hours. The church is calling you. To come and pray. To come and worship. The bell is ringing to remind you of God’s presence in your daily life. It is ringing to remind you that you are not alone.

In a similar way, our new blog is here to remind you that St. Patrick Church can assist you in your spiritual journey to become closer to God through the gift of The Sacraments. The next seven editions of The Church Bell will discuss the history and significance of the Seven Sacraments, as well as how our administrative staff can help you navigate the real-life logistics of receiving them.

Come and get to know yourself in the way God intended. This could be the year that you rededicate your life to the Lord, or become a member of our ever-growing parish.
